The 8 Signs a Two-Day Elopement Package is a Must for You & Your Partner

April 1, 2024

I truly believe that every couple out there has a perfect-for-them version of an elopement.

For some, a small and peaceful elopement by the Colorado River surrounded by their loved ones might be an absolute dream. For others, a just-us day on the Utah slopes filled with hours of carving and delicious ski apres could be the perfect fit.

In the same way, I think every couple has an ideal amount of coverage that makes perfect sense for their dreamy elopement day. Some couples thrive with a full-day elopement (8-12 hours) and never need another second to feel totally fulfilled.

Others might find themselves wishing they could have so much longer to experience and soak in their day.

If you suspect that you and your partner might be the kind of couple who crave a two-day elopement package and more time, more balance, and a more “no-comprises-here” attitude, you’ll want to keep reading.

Trust me, this blog is for you.

8 Signs That a Two-Day Elopement Package is Your Perfect-Fit

I always like to throw a quick disclaimer in before I talk about two-day elopements. I fully believe that two-day elopements are the right choice for some couples and not necessarily the right choice for every couple out there.

It all depends on your wants, your needs, and what your picture of an amazing elopement day looks like.

All this to say, I hope you never feel pressured to book elopement coverage that doesn’t fit you. But I do hope that if what I’m about to describe is a perfect match, you give yourselves the wedding gift of absolutely going for it with a two-day elopement package.

Compromises Aren’t Your Cup of Tea

You and your partner have absolutely no interest in turning down anything on your list. You’ve got places to see, experiences to have, and a wedding day that’s entirely about what you both want to feel.

If you catch yourselves having to cut things back, account for other people’s desires, and nix parts of your dream day, all while feeling fully disappointed by these things, I’ve got news for you–you’re probably a two-day elopement kinda couple.

When you opt for two days of coverage, you’re giving yourselves the gifts of time and opportunity. There’s no denying it: two days give you a chance to see more, to do more, to pack your schedules, and to give yourselves plenty of time to breathe and soak everything in.

You Want Intimate Moments–But You Also Want to Invite Your People

The choice between planning a  “just-us” day or being surrounded by the people who root you on and love you through it all is so tough. If you find yourselves swinging to either side of the pendulum every couple of minutes and are totally torn up about what to do, a two-day elopement could be the perfect choice.

Hear me out. With a full-day elopement, you can totally have a nice balance between “just us” and including your loved ones–you’ll just have less time within the day for both. If you opt for a two-day elopement, you can split the time in half without taking anything from either option.

You can truly have a full elopement day JUST for the two of you. Then, the next day, have an elopement day that celebrates you, surrounded by all the people who love you and support you.

In the end, it’s basically like having two totally different, unique wedding days–and that’s a beautiful opportunity.

You Can’t Choose Between All Your Locations & Activities

You want to offroad in one spot for an amazing ceremony location, but you also want to hike to another viewpoint to have an incredible sunset champagne toast. The problem? The spots are quite a bit away from each other, and you don’t want to spend all of your elopement day in the car.

Your partner wants to have an epic dinner at an incredible restaurant,  but you also want to explore a slot canyon for the first time ever on your wedding day. The problem? There’s just not enough time in the day for it all.

If you’ve got a long list of musts, sights to see, and things to do, and you’re struggling to say no to them, a two-day elopement could be the perfect solution. Plan one day as your epic adventure day and run around like crazy. The next day? Make it restful, relaxing, and filled with low-key events (like that amazing restaurant or a drive out to a sunset spot).

You Refuse to Choose Between Sunrise & Sunset

And honestly? Why should you have to. If you and your partner have a split love or mutual appreciation for a sunrise and a sunset, there’s no reason you can’t witness both.

If you want to get the absolute most out of your time and not run yourselves ragged, I highly recommend opting for two days instead of trying to see the sunrise and the sunset on the same day.

Adventure is Great, But Rest is a Must

If you have epic plans, but you’re not interested in going non-stop on your elopement day, two-day elopement coverage could be the perfect way to space everything out and ensure your elopement story is documented.

Instead of trying to pack a ton of stuff into one day, you could space it out over two–giving yourselves plenty of rest, downtime, and buffer time between activities.

The result? A more laid-back approach to an adventure elopement and a more present, in-the-moment attitude.

You Believe that (Sometimes) More is More

I’m not always of the belief that more is more, but honestly, it’s hard to argue any different when it comes to coverage. The truth is, if you opt for more coverage, you do get more coverage–that’s more moments to capture, more meaningful exchanges between the two of you to document, and more images of your day to hold onto and appreciate forever

Two Days of Elopement Epicness–Coming Your Way

My biggest passion and greatest joy in life is helping couples create their version of a dream elopement day. For a lot of couples, that might look like a full-day elopement (and that’s amazing). For some, though, the idea of a perfect-fit elopement is a two-day, no-comprises-necessary sort of elopement–and I absolutely love to be a part of those.

I’m here to help you create, plan, and, most importantly, capture every moment of your epic two-day elopement–no matter what it looks like.
