Utah Alpine Lake Adventure Elopement Inspiration at Lake Blanche near Salt Lake City.
Lake Blanche is my most favorite hike near Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a difficult climb, but it is well worth the trip. The view of Sundial peak over the lake is just spectacular. And if you are lucky and there is little wind, the reflection of the peak on the lake is breathtaking. And! If you are super lucky, you will see a moose (or two!). Also, if you go in July or August you will be able to enjoy the wildflowers on the way up! It is quite a bit of elevation gain, so just be prepared to take your time and bring plenty of water, snacks and depending on the season some extra layers or bug spray.
For this adventure elopement session, Dani and Chris were super pumped on going on a hard hike and getting up EARLY to beat the heat and see the sunrise! Unfortunately, an unexpected storm front came through making the morning not so cool and the sunrise not so exciting because it was cloudy. But! It still was beautiful and blast!

We started hiking at 4am and after we reached the top of the hike at the lake, Chris and Dani got ready in the dark and we waited for the sun to rise.
Then we did some exploring for the perfect ceremony spot!
We saw a little rainbow!
Then more exploring and enjoying other views!
Then! We can up on a man watching some moose!
The wildflowers were amazing!
They had the cutest backpack signs that read “to the moon & back.” Which is a saying they say to each other often. I might be a bit biased but I loved it. Forever to the Moon!
