There are a ton of canyons near Salt Lake City and they are all uniquely beautiful. The Wasatch Mountains which border the west side of the city are filled with them, making the city and surrounding suburbs a great place for people to visit if they love skiing, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, trail running or just being out in nature. Slate Canyon is no exception. Its just south of the city, but has beautiful views and lots of hiking making it a great choice for an adventurous elopement. OOOOOooo! Also, there was rain in the forest for this day, but we decided to shoot anyway. It made for a really cool moody feel! AND! We got to play in the rain for a bit… how fun is that?!? When was the last time you danced in the rain?
